Wishing Happiness to All!

Are you wondering about "my families" in this year's botanical greetings? Nothing aberrant here, it's just that there is no all-encompassing Fern Family. Instead there are many, and the number continues to grow. Is this evolution? No, it's taxonomists.

    1. Thx, tz. I find them fascinating too ... and more difficult to understand than I expected. But mystery is good :)

As retribution you might consider reciting these tidbits Michelle disclosed this evening. She dredged them up from the basement of her mom's upbringing in Goshen, Indiana...

Chick inna car and the car won't go; that's how you spell Chicago!

If at first you don't fricassee, fry, fry a hen.

Have you read Patrick Leigh Fermor's *A Time Of Gifts.* I commend it.

    Onward!
